We would like to be able to store/upload documentation under each member account. It would be nice if these contents can both be viewed and uploaded by both us, the organization, and the members. This is to keep track easily of any specific correspondence or agreements made

Hi Nicci thanks for this request. I'm assuming you're already away that you can use Custom Fields of the File type to upload specific attachments. For example - Accreditation certificates which can then be made available to the member, read-only to the member, or not visible at all to the member.
It might get you some of the way to your solution.
If you have a specific scenario that you can detail it would be great, as it would help us colour this example more.
