Ability to assign task to a Role instead of an individual

For succession purposes it would be better to assign tasks (especially recurring ones) to a role e.g. president rather than the current incumbent of that role. As it stands you need to manually re-assign tasks when there's a change in personnel.

Work around:
Create membership levels for different admin levels.
Create accounts for admins for those levels, ideally using generic emails and name eg president@my.org
When the incumbent changes, assign them the officer email and by default the role, since they can reset the password.
Ideally you only assign admin roles to these positional accounts and never to personal accounts.

Hi Paul, just letting you know you should already be able to assign tasks to a role rather than a person. Just type the name of the role into the “assignee” field and it should keep this task assigned to the role regardless of who the incumbent is. If this feature isn’t working correctly for you, are you able to take some screenshots and send them through to info@tidyhq.com? Thanks, Nat (TidyHQ Customer Success)

Nat Ng: Aha. Indeed you can! But the 'hint' in the box says "Pick a contact", so it never occurred to me try typing a role name.

Paul Lindfield: Hi Paul do you mind sending me a screenshot of where you are seeing this hint - we will get it updated :)

// Update - Paul sent screenshots and I've added them to the original post.
